Bespoke Residencies

In addition to our year round programme of artist residencies, The Field Station offers bespoke retreats and residential projects that respond to the specific needs of companies, organisations and groups.

Bringing your team all the way to the Arctic is no small undertaking, but for those adventurous few looking for something more than your average company off-site, run-of-the-mill strategy and planning away-day, or team getaway, The Field Station is for you.

Uniquely placed to offer groups the chance to truly break from routine, radically remove themselves from day-to-day operations, and get immersed in an isolated environment, our bespoke company retreats are developed with you every step of the way to create a tailor-made experience.

From a fully facilitated programme, led by one of our highly experienced team, to a hands-off, space and time approach designed to give you complete control, or somewhere in between, the choice is yours.

Fully catered or self catered options are available, with both taking advantage of the plentiful supply of fresh, seasonal fish from Ingøy’s local fishermen, including giant halibut, monkfish, cod and king crab. As well as Arctic hare, goose, duck and even the rare island delicacy of seagull eggs.

Pick and mix from a range of activities on the island, such as charted fishing trips, guided nature walks, saunas, mountain climbing, shoreline bonfires and a visit to Fruholmen - the worlds northernmost lighthouse.

Elements from our artists programme can also be incorporated into your time with us, such as tutored workshops in printmaking, ceramics, music, drawing, dance, public speaking and presentation skills.

Prices vary depending on the group size, duration, catering and the mix of facilitation and activities.
