One of the many consequences of the COVID - 19 pandemic is a terrible climate of introspection, contraction and national isolation. There is now an urgent need for an expansive residency model that combats the reclusive side-effect of the shutting of borders and the restriction of in-person collaboration.
The Field Station is just such an antidote. An international assembly, where artists from around the world can meet, work and share their practice with fellow artists from outside their national bubble.
The Field Station enables national and international artists to connect by working closely alongside each other, sharing skills, knowledge and ideas.
We help artists to establish and grow their global artistic network, opening up new and meaningful opportunities for their individual practice, pave the way for possible future international collaborations and ultimately strengthen global cultural cooperation.
